The purpose of this initial U.S. Attorney's Office Missing and Murdered Indigenous People Report is to provide tribal communities, law enforcement, and the public an overview of the currently available data regarding MMIP cases connected to the District of Oregon and the USAO’s MMIP Action Plan for 2021. As discussed in detail below, an initial analysis of the available data indicates eleven missing Indigenous persons (six females and five males) and eight murdered Indigenous persons (five females and three males) connected to Oregon.
