Safe Housing: A Native Woman’s Journey and Vision
Please join the Tribal Safe Housing Center, a project of the National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center, for a conversation with educator and activist Renee Sans Souci as she discusses her path toward healing and perspectives on the unique connection between Native women and home.
Renee faced housing insecurity, homelessness, and domestic violence with her children. For over a decade, her family navigated social services and health systems that largely lacked an understanding of Native culture and relevant resources. In this webinar, Renee will share insights from these experiences and her vision for creating safe spaces rooted in cultural connections, traditional teachings, and spirituality, including traditional healing ceremonies, from which she and her family have found great strength and support.
