In March 2022, NIWRC created an educational resource containing biographies of four Indigenous women to accompany a Twitter Storm for International Women’s Day on March 8, 2022. The brief biographies highlighted the women’s contributions to the movement of securing the protection, health, safety, and welfare of Indigenous women and children for the awareness and actions of social justice, policy reforms, and strengthening Tribal sovereignty. The biographies provided knowledge of each of the women's contributions and resources for exploration and knowledge building. Visit our Resources Library to view the full biographies of these four powerful Indigenous women: Tillie Black Bear, Sarah Deer, Karen Artichoker, and Lenora “Lynn” Hootch: https://n8ve.net/csBzu
