Morgan Hawes | Data, Grants, and Knowledge Coordinator Minnesota Indian Women’s Sexual Assault Coalition Morgan B. Hawes, MPP, BSW, serves as the Data, Grants, and Knowledge Coordinator for the Minnesota Indian Women’s Sexual Assault Coalition. She is an enrolled member of the Picayune Rancheria of Chukchansi Indians in Oakhurst , California but currently resides in Southeastern, Massachusetts. Morgan’s background in research, policy, and evaluation extends over 20 years. She has experience in both qualitative and quantitative analysis and possesses a general expertise in survey research, literature review, statistical analysis, evaluation, and data visualization. In her previous employment, she worked on several federally funded violence against women initiatives assisting with training, technical assistance, program support and data analysis/interpretation. Complementary to her work at MIWSAC, Morgan is a consultant for Gray O.A.K., LLC, an evaluation consulting company working with Tribal communities across the U.S. She self-identifies as a second generation Evaluator and has had the unique privilege of being brought up in the work. In addition, Morgan serves in the role of documentarian as an Executive Council Member for the Building the Fire Fund. BFF is the first and only fund dedicated to Indigenous Reproductive Justice rooted in both philanthropic and movement centered advocacy. In her personal life, Morgan is an avid reader, lifelong learner, and a dedicated fan of 90’s music. She also loves restoring discarded furniture!
