Danelle is a member of the Diné Nation. She is a storyteller and a former educator. For over a decade she has been an active campaign organizer for gender violence prevention and Indigenous issues.  Danelle has contributed to the development of educational materials for organizations such as the JED Foundation, the J. Paul Getty Museum, National Geographic, and the Snap Foundation. You can find her story featured in the book Tell Me Who You Are: Sharing Our Stories of Race, Culture, & Identity by Winona Guo and Priya Vulchi. Currently, Danelle is the Elder Justice Associate with the International Association for Indigenous Aging. She is also completing her coursework for a PhD in Anthropology and Social Change, researching how Diné ways of knowing and being can heal trauma.
