Annette Scalpcane

Pêhévešeëva! Váno’eméóná’e Náhéševehe! (Good Day! My name is Sage Road Woman)

Annette Scalpcane serves as the Accountant for the NIWRC and has been a part of the organization for eight years.

She is an enrolled member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe. Her maternal lineage is Northern Cheyenne and a little bit of Irish. Her great grandfather, Patrick Spotted Wolf, was a member of the Chiefs Council of 44. Her paternal lineage is Crow, where she is a member of the Whistling Water clan.

Most of her career has been spent on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation working for her tribe in the justice system. She obtained her Associates of Arts degree from Chief Dull Knife College and went on to Rocky Mountain College where she worked towards a Business Management degree. Her previous position of two years was Staff Accountant for the Central Finance Department, where she primarily worked with federal grants. Prior to that she worked for the tribal justice system as the Clerk of Court for three years, and worked in the Prosecutor's office for six years. She wore many hats but learned valuable experiences as a DV Prosecutor, DV Investigator, DV Legal Advocate, and DV Advocate.

Annette is honored to serve as the accountant for the NIWRC, where she can combine her two passions: accounting and the Domestic Violence movement.
