Denise Neal joined NIWRC as the Program Assistant in 2021. She joins with several years of experience working with tribal communities and building relationships and is ambitious as a future contributor. Denise graduated with an Indigenous Education Master's Degree from Arizona State University in 2021 where, as a student, she grew as a researcher and a writer. She previously attended Northwest Indian College, a tribal college, and graduated with a Tribal Governance and Business Management Bachelor's Degree in 2019.
Denise is an enrolled member of the Suquamish Tribe, which is a sovereign nation residing in the Pacific Northwest on the Port Madison Indian reservation. She feels honored to share space with amazing Indigenous People from across the world.
